Connetquot high school conspiracy overt act

BOHEMIA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – An apparent plan to bomb a school on Long Island has been thwarted. Suffolk County police announced that they have arrested three 16-year-olds - two boys and a girl - Thursday. The teens are accused of conspiring to build a bomb and detonate it at Connetquot High School. WEB EXTRA - Suffolk County Authorities Detail The Plot Against Connetquot High School:

"It's scary that i have to worry about, as a teenager, worry about…okay maybe this guy has a bomb in his backpack," Suffolk County resident Michael Bervine said. Police say the students were arraigned in a youth courtroom here in Central Islip. They were both charged with conspiracy which is felony.

Authorities said that due to the age of the suspects involved in the plot, their names will not be released to the public.
